MMB DANCE CENTRE

through the years...

It was in 1981 that this dream of a young lady, Mary Ann Morales-Base, came to take form when she opened a ballet school in their garage. It was with a vision of nurturing talents, inculcating discipline, rearing dreams, and a belief that the stars of tomorrow are the students of today which motivated this young "maestro" to share her God-given talents.

MMB School of Ballet was formally established two month's before MMB's graduation from Residency Training in Pediatrics. A beautiful dream marked her destiny... a pediatric clinic and her ballet school overlooking through a glass window. True enough, the dream became a reality.

All About our Artistic Director

Discipline, inspiration and hard work were the things that kept Mary Ann, or Tita Ann which is what her students fondly call her, in her early years of becoming a dancer. Her powerful legs and grace has also earned her the nickname "Bionic Legs". Dancing is in every inch of her body ever since she started dancing under Anabelle Cudilla and was later on guided by the late Lydia M. Gaston. Her rare love for the craft shows every time she steps out to dance.
As a teacher, mom and a colleague, Tita Ann shares with us her ingrained love for dance and basicially a part of her life as she teaches us what she had learned from the many years of training.

After about 20 years of being a dance teacher, Tita Ann is still with us pushing and aspiring us to do the best in everything we do. She has surely molded us not only into better dancers, but better people too.
